Youthlaw is a community law centre for young people under 25 years of age living anywhere in NZ, offering free confidential legal advice, advocacy and support. They are able to help you participate in decision making at all levels. They produce over 60 free publications on children and young people's rights and responsibilities.
Restorative Justice seeks to put things right by having all people involved (people who have been harmed, people who caused harm, their families and the community), come together in a facilitated meeting to talk about how they have been affected and what needs to happen to resolve issues.
Community Law Centres (CLCs) are independent community organisations that provide free legal help for members of the public. They are staffed by qualified lawyers, non-legal staff and volunteers. Community Law Centres work with individual clients, aiming to help solve legal problems before they escalate to something that's harder and more expensive to solve. Each Community Law Centre is closely involved with its local community. There are 24 Community Law Centres across New Zealand.
